australia day 2012

Australia day is one of my favourite days of the year. Unlike NY and Christmas there are no preconceived expectations that come along with Australia day. You can celebrate it as much or as little as you like.

For me, it doesn’t get any better than a bbq with great friends. It’s a chance to kick back and waste an afternoon together.

Most of our nearest and dearest friends have little ones, which means I can’t help but pull my camera out. I have a whole collection of Australia day images from the last 4 years of these little guys.

This year, as the rain poured down and they played in their little pool, I realised that there won’t be too many more Australia days where they’re going to be ok with the idea of running around….stark naked!

Keith, I put this image in just so I could say “told you so, you’re a natural!”.

Gorgeous photos as always Jess! Looks like the kids all had so much fun. Love the decor, is this at your place?? How do you keep it so clean and white??? 🙂ReplyCancel

Haha Marina. I can take credit for the decor, but not the photos this time – they’re all Tina. Off white walls and some cleaning products help, but mainly I keep the lights dimmed so you can’t see the real dust and dirt!!ReplyCancel
